COLOR is a juried exhibition that highlights how color shapes the world in which we live. For visual artists, it is one of the most important communication tools in the creative process. Instantly, color can evoke thoughts, memories, and feelings. Sometimes, color expresses ideas even better than words.
The Tempe Center for the Arts used Ramona Sakiestewa’s Water Flow, lobby carpet, 2007, for education outreach for museum patrons with red/green colorblindness. The differences are really fascinating and hopefully, make us think about how works are not always seen the same way for all viewers.
