Old Fashioned Window/2, 1989, is one of 13 tapestries Sakiestewa wove for the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin West Usonian House Fundraiser. The iconic Frank Lloyd Wright design was inspired by Shoji screens that Wright saw while working in Japan and from which he adopted the Japanese red/orange lacquer color. Both of those elements became part of his signature style as we know it now.
