Tangram Butterfly Blue, 2014 and Untitled, 1991 will be on display as part of the exhibition The Printer’s Proof: Artist and Printer Collaborations at the Albuquerque Museum, open February 19 to May 15, 2022. This exhibition celebrates the collaborative relationships between printers and artists in the printmaking process and features six printers: Marina Ancona, Robert Arber, Steve Britko, Michael Costello, Bill Lagattuta, and Jennifer Lynch.
Untitled, 1991 was printed with Steve Britko and it was my very first edition of prints. Tangram Butterfly Blue, 2014 was printed with Michael Costello.
In the exhibition video, there is a moment when Steve Britko says he especially enjoys working with artists who have never printed before. That was me, and he was so helpful. I also printed with Tamarind and Marina Ancona. Tamarind did the prints for the Wine and Chile Fiesta, 1998.
The public opening of the exhibition is on Saturday, February 19, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the Museum will be free beginning at 1 p.m.
